Live Music Photography

When I was a kid, I had a great photography tutor at college. He was only there for a term, but I learnt a lot: how to get work as a photo journalist, that kind of thing and, most crucially, how to smuggle a camera into a gig. This was 2006, right before mobile phones all had cameras by default. I took photos of my favourite bands at the time: Status Quo, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy. I didn’t take photos of much else.

Video is the focus of many content marketing campaigns, so that’s where my drifted to over time. Photos still have a part to play in the marketing world, and it’s important to work with a photographer that really get the vibe of your band.
